If the insured does not comply with the payment of the insurance premiums according to the payment plan that he chose for a period exceeding 3 months from the date of the insurance premium due, the insurance policy will be cancelled, and the insured will be subjected to pay a fine as per the applicable law.

The insured whose salary is on a commission basis, may choose the contribution category if the basic salary in the employment contract is not specified.

The insured must submit the claim within 30 days from the date of termination through the following channels:

A- The ILOE portal (www.iloe.ae)
B- The ILOE mobile APP
C- The ILOE call center at 600599555.
D- Any other specified channels by the MOHRE in coordination with the Insurance Pool

  • The subscription period of the Insured to the Unemployment Insurance scheme shall not be less than passed twelve (12) consecutive months.
  • The insured must pay all the insurance premiums according to the periodicity specified by him/her.
  • The insured must prove that unemployment was due to a reason other than resignation.
  • The Insured must not be dismissed from his work for disciplinary reasons in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation regulating Labour Relations in the Private Sector and Human Resources in the Federal Government.
  • Submitting the Claim within thirty (30) days from the date of the termination of the labour relationship or the settlement of the labour complaint referred to the Court.
  • The Insured Worker must not have an existing abscondment complaint.
  • The claim must not be made through fraud or deception and the company they claim to work for, should not be a fictitious entity.
  • The loss of work should not be the result of non-peaceful “labour strikes or stoppages”, whether resulted in damage or not.
  • The insured must be legally present in the United Arab Emirates.

If the terms and conditions of the Insurance Policy are met, the Insured is entitled to the Insurance Coverage stipulated in this Policy after twelve (12) months have passed from the date of the subscription provided that there is no interruption in subscription for more than three months provided that the insurer’s obligation to provide Insurance Coverage ends if any of the following are met:

  • Reaching the Maximum Aggregate Limit (during the Insurance Certificate/s Period over the entire work life of the Insured in the United Arab Emirates).
  • In the event of the death of the Insured, the Insurance Coverage ends on the date of death.

If an absconding complaint is registered against the worker, he will not be obliged to pay the insurance premiums according to what will be determined in the ministerial decision.
